La forme passive en anglais se construit toujours selon le meme schema :
Le sujet de la phrase passive est l'objet de la phrase active. L'agent (celui qui fait l'action) est introduit par by, mais il est souvent omis quand il est evident ou inconnu.

| Future Perfect | will have been + PP | It will have been done by Friday. |
| Modal (can/must/should) | modal + be + PP | It can be done. / It must be checked. |
